Significance of the place:
1) Historical importance of the place says that Shri. Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had taken the oath of Swaraj at the temple of Raireshwar.
2) If seen from image sites like google earth or wikimapia(http://wikimapia.org/#y=18047297&x=73722983&z=14&l=0&m=a) it is clearly seen that this is a very huge plateau stretching around 13 to 15 kilometers.

Started At: 7:00 AM from BMC Software Pvt. Ltd.

Reached At: 10:30 AM base village Korle.

Places to halt for food on the way:
1) Hotel Neelkamal (while going left side on Satara road).
2) Hotel Nataraj (while going left side on Satara road).
3) Bhor Pahata (while going right side on Satara road).
4) Hotel Ram in Bhor District.

Places we halted at on the way:
1) Tea break at Bhor phata on Satara road.
2) Visited Nageshwar temple in Amboli village. This place has a big swinging bridge (shown in below picture) built in 1936 over a small local river which flows beside the temple.

Climb path description:
Climb started at 10:45 AM from Korle village. Climb finished at 12:45 PM on Raireshwar Plateau. The climb path is a kachha road on which four wheelers can travel. Please wear shoes that have fat soles as this road has got number of small stones which are not at all good for one’s legs. This road ends at the bottom of the huge rock patch of Raireshwar plateau (shown in the first picture in this article). To ascend the rock patch we have proper stairs and at one point there is a nylon rope for help. Some care must be taken at this rope point while climbing up as well as climbing down as it might get little slippery.

Points to watch on the climb:
1) At approx. half the distance on the climb a very huge waterfall (shown in below picture) on the right hand side of the trek route.
1) The point at which one needs to turn right towards Raireshwar. Its approx. the 3/4th distance from the start.

Points to watch on top:
1) Once at the top we can go to visit the Raireshwar temple and Mata Janani’s temple. Both the temples are close to each other.
2) There is a nice lake beside these temples.
3) Enthusiastic people can have a walk around the plateau. (Not recommended during monsoon).

Provision for food:
There is a person called Shankar Jangum to whom we can call up on 9850243363 and ask to prepare some food. Please not this is not his personal number, it’s a request number. You get Nachani Bhakar and Zhunka with red chilli chatani. If you can, please also take some milk with you so that you enjoy nice tea.

Provision for halt:
The same person mentioned above can be contacted for accommodation details. He allows the trekkers to halt in his house. The capacity is well enough for 50 people. No specific provisions for toilets, one needs to take the help of dense forest in case of emergency :D.
